Our 10th Annual Scholarship Truck Raffle came to a close on Valentine's night in the Lounge at The Bridge Restaurant. Dan Schilling of Radio Station WSBS drew the 3 winning tickets from the golden raffle drum. First place went to Matt McDermott of Gt. Barrington, Second was Louis Aragi of Pine Island Farm in Sheffield, and the Third ticket belonged to Dan Alden of Mill River. All members of Kiwanis are most appreciative for the support our wonderful communities give us; such important help in providing scholarships for our youth. Thank you again!!

Look to the spring vacation for our next service project: STUFF A BUS.
Kiwanis and its auxiliary groups (K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Club and Aktion Club) will all work toward filling a school bus with non-perishable food and other useful household items to be divided between the Food Pantries of Sheffield and Gt. Barrington. Collection boxes will be placed in schools and businesses. The final delivery to the School Bus will be the week of April 19 - 24. The bus will be parked at the GMC lot near the Sheffield/Barrington town line. Donations will be accepted those days between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Please give generously to this effort -- remember hunger doen't stop after the holidays, so let's keep the pantries stocked!

On Saturday, June 5, Kiwanis will sponsor "THE BATTLE OF THE BANDS" on the campus of Berkshire School. More details on this all-day event will be published as the committee works on plans. Interested parties should contact either Rob Gingras at 229-2600 or David Lewis at the Bridge Lounge.
